Intend
Every action begins with an intention.
Before anything is done, someone decides that it matters. A parent decides to find out why reading aloud has become so hard. A teacher decides to notice the quiet child at the back of the class. A retired engineer decides that one Saturday a month could be useful to someone.
In Tamil homes the day often begins with a kolam at the doorstep: dots of rice flour set down before anything else, as a welcome to whoever comes. The rice feeds the ants and birds. It is an intention made visible, and given freely. That is where we begin too.
Involve
Give what money cannot buy.
This is a collective effort. We do not raise money, and we do not accept donations. We ask for your time, your skills and your thinking, because those are what a child who learns differently most needs from the people around them.
An hour with a parent who feels alone. A learning aid designed from cardboard and bottle caps. A guide translated into Tamil. A morning helping at a workshop. Each is small. Together they become a movement.
Invoke
Awaken what is already within you.
Most of us carry a wish to be useful to someone. Daily life buries it under work, traffic and screens. When you help a child be understood, that wish wakes up, and something in you is answered too.
We do not ask you to help because you should. We invite you because, somewhere inside, you already want to. Come for the child, and discover what the giving gives back to your own soul.
The intention kolam
Every intention shared here adds a dot of rice flour to a kolam we draw together. Dots that sit side by side join up, the way people do.
- The kolam is waiting for its first dot. Yours could be the first.
